Charlie Guy from the UK is one of the five finalists of Postcode Lottery Green Challenge 2018. He is co-founder and CEO of LettUs Grow, an agricultural technology company on a mission to reduce the colossal waste and carbon footprint of our global food system and provide easy access to fresh and sustainable greens for the next generation.

LettUs Grow was founded in the autumn of 2015 to initially target the 45% of salad products that are wasted in the home alone. Together with Jack Farmer, a Biologist, and Design Engineer Ben Crowther, Charlie came up with the idea for their unique growing method, which uses a patent-pending soilless growing technique, inspired by work done by NASA for the International Space Station. On a mission to increase the resilience and sustainability of our food system whilst reducing food waste, Charlie is focused on driving the company forward into new markets.

Charlie holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Bristol.
