The judging of the Postcode Lotteries Green Challenge is a three-stage procedure. In the first stage, after the entry period has closed, the preliminary juries from the UK, Sweden/Norway and Germany will review the entries from their region. The Dutch preliminary jury will assess the entries from The Netherlands and from outside the aforementioned regions. After all the entries have been reviewed, the 25 best start-ups will be selected. These entrepreneurs will still be in the running to win the first prize of €500,000.

Representatives from each preliminary jury will decide which five start-ups will move on to the final. These finalists will present their ideas to an international jury, media and selected audience during the grand final which will take place in The Netherlands. Each of the five finalists of the Postcode Lotteries Green Challenge will receive a minimum of €100,000, the runner-up will receive €200,000 and the winner will take the grand prize of € 500,000. In addition to the prize money, all finalists will receive expert coaching for over six months in order to optimise their business opportunities.

You can enter your application between 1 March and 1 May. The 25 nominees will be announced by the end of June.

Second stage
