The Green Challenge is open to anyone with a creative and innovative idea that can contribute to an eco-friendly lifestyle, directly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and scores well on convenience, quality and design.

The Deciding Round is the tense, energy-charged afternoon when each finalist explains to the jury of international business and sustainability leaders why his or her climate-friendly invention is groundbreaking enough to deserve the € 500,000 prize.

Watch as the finalists present their ideas to the final jury at PICNIC’09, Amsterdam’s exciting creativity and innovation event. Learn all about each product or service, how it works, and why it might be able to change the world, as its inventor strives to convince leading business and climate-change experts of its greatness.

The Award Ceremony is the triumphant, feelgood moment when the jury announces the winner and the cameras flash. Each year, the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge urges creative, innovative people to make a real contribution to fighting climate change by inventing a green product or service.
The winner will receive
Find out who’s won the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge 2009 on the last day of PICNIC’09. The winner will receive €500,000 from the Dutch Postcode Lottery to bring his or her product or service to market within two years.
