Jan Paul van Soest serves as a sustainability strategy consultant for companies, governments and NGOs. He is also an entrepreneur and author. His work focuses on environmental, energy, ecological and economic relationships. He currently holds board positions with Triodos, Groenfonds, the Centre for Agriculture and Environment, Energy Dialogue Netherlands, MasterPeace Foundation, and the SustainAbility Faculty, and has served on the boards of many other organizations in the past, including the WWF and the Dutch Energy Council.
Jan Paul recently co-founded Carbon Stars, a company that helps to develop and finance innovative energy- and climate-oriented ventures. He was previously director of the environmental consultancy CE. He has authored and edited numerous publications, including De Aarde heeft Koorts ('The Earth Has a Fever'), Natuur = Economie! ('Nature = Economy!') and Het Leven is een Spel ('Life Is a Game').
