Kavita-Shukla Plan: 25% of our world’s food supply is lost to spoilage, leading to staggering energy and resource waste,  billions of tons of CO2 emissions and trillions of gallons of wasted water and fuel. Fenugreen is a social enterprise taking on this massive global challenge with a simple innovation, FreshPaper. Low-cost, intuitive to use, and made with edible organic ingredients, FreshPaper keeps produce fresh 2-4 times longer. This compostable, biodegradable, and recyclable piece of paper works like refrigeration, and has the potential to change how the world keeps its food fresh - dramatically reducing energy waste and global carbon emissions.

Biography: Kavita is the Founder of Fenugreen, a social enterprise taking on global food waste, and the Inventor of FreshPaper, which started as her middle school science project.

Kavita happened upon FreshPaper's active ingredients after accidentally drinking tap water while visiting her grandmother in India. Her grandmother gave her a home remedy - a "spice tea", which kept her from getting sick. After years of research and development, she discovered a new application of her grandmother's generations-old home remedy - a remarkably effective way to keep food fresh for 2-4x longer.
