ARIAN KHAMOOSHIAN, 2010 FINALIST: GWEC
Plan: A system for generating electricity using ocean wave movements.
Biography: Arian (1989) is a master student Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology. He is one of the very few students at the university that started his master already in his third bachelor year, due to his excellent progress. He has been very active the last couple of years; he has worked at the university for a couple of years as teacher and coordinator assistant at different departments. Furthermore he also fulfilled commercial jobs as Account manager and Sales representative. After being active on some small entrepreneurial projects, he founded GreenMotionTechnologies, which is set up for the research, development and commercialization of the GWEC. The GWEC project is a wave energy consortium, led by GreenMotionTechnologies. This project started as a bachelor thesis of Arian and nine fellow students at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering. After some thoughts he decided in July 2010 to start a company and dedicate his entire time for the further development of the GWEC.
